To provide a pre-reduction furnace, in which a supplying tube is not clogged caused by the sticking of iron one having moisture, as a result, the iron one having the moisture can be treated by directly supplying into a fluidized bed.
This pre-reduction furnace is provided with a pre-reduction chamber positioned at the upper side of the pre-reduction furnace body 2 partitioned into the upper side and the lower side with a distributing plate 6 and forming the fluidized bed 10, a wind box 9 for supplying reducing gas into the fluidized bed through the distributing plate and an ore supplying tube 11 and an ore ejecting tube 12 fitted to the pre-reduction chamber. The pre- reduction chamber 8 is formed as larger diameter at the upper part by bulging to the outside than that of the lower part and the ore supplying tube 11 is fitted as perpendicular state at the bulged outer peripheral portion of the upper part of the pre-reduction furnace so that the raw material drops along the inner side wall of the pre-reduction chamber. Further, a buffering surface 18 is formed at the boundary between the bulged upper part side wall and the lower part of the pre-reduction chamber and a storing hopper is arranged at the perpendicularly upper part of the ore supplying tube.
