PURPOSE: To enable sufficient deceleration in advance even when a copying direction changes sharply by providing a movement command quantity whereby movement is carried out between adjacent points and controlling the moving speed at this time based on the phase of the rotation angle of an eccentric shaft.
CONSTITUTION: A spindle 3 is linked to an eccentric shaft 1 at a point Q, and the rotation of the eccentric shaft 1 is controlled by means of a motor 9, while its rotation angle phase α is detected by means of an angle detector 10. The spindle 3 is rotatably and slidably supported at a fulcrum 4, while it is linked to the eccentric shaft 1 at the point Q on its upper end part. When a stylus 5 at the lower end of the spindle 3 is driven being in contact with a model 7, the load reaction torque of a motor 9 is controlled to be constant. When a copying is shifted from a horizontal face to a vertical face, a sufficiently decelerated horizontal face copying is carried out to sufficiently fold back for the change of direction at a corner part bafore the change of direction is carried out for the vertical face copying.
