PURPOSE: To collectively check a lot of pieces and to improve efficiency by moving a large sheet where printed boards are arranged in the cross direction by a designated pitch, blanking except connecting portions, boring positioning holes at both ends, and cutting works for one line in the cross direction.

CONSTITUTION: A work 1 is placed at a designated position by positioning pins 7, 7' through reference holes at four corners to hold the end portion thereof by work holding means, and the positioning pins 7, 7' are lowered to move the work. When a groove bed 11 where the work holding means 9 are loosely fitted is moved laterally by a transverse moving feed screw by the calculated average pitch, the work 1 is laterally moved pitch by pitch to blank unnecessary portions 3 of pieces, and the work 1 is moved to a boring portion to form positioning holes b, b' and sent to a cutting portion to cut works for one line where the unnecessary portion 3 is blanked in the cross direction. When the works 1 for one line are cut, a work holding means 9 support portion 18 moves forward a portion which is let be the foremost portion by cutting by a longitudinal feed screw 17 and the work 1 is positioned at a blank portion to be sequentially worked line by line.
