To provide a precoated metal panel having a coating film well extending and well following the deformation of a metal, not generating the peeling or destruction of the coating film even against the strain of compression caused by squeeze processing or the like, having good appearance and excellent in molding processability.

A lower primer coating film and an upper top coating film are laminated on the surface of a metal panel to which chemical forming treatment is applied and the glass transition temp. of either one of the primer coating film and the top coating film is set to 20-50°C and that of the other coating film is set to 10-40°C. Further pref., the top coating film is mainly composed of a polymeric polyester resin with a number average mol.wt. of 7,000-30,000.
