Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify circuit configuration by providing a transistor constituting a gain extender stage, and a phase shifter which is controlled by the continuous components of a voltage present at the output point. CONSTITUTION: A transistor FT1 multiplies a radio frequency signal applied to an input point RFin . Also, a fixed supply voltage V+ , resistance R1 , and voltage VG are selected in a way for holding the FT1 in a low polarized state, that is, in a way for having an operating point close to a pinch-off area (with low drain/source current and gate/source voltage values). In this case, the increase of the power of the input signal enables the increase of the continuous components of currents. Then, according as the continuous components of the currents are increased, the continuous components of the drain/source voltage of the FT1 are decreased, and the continuous components of the polarized voltage VL of a phase shifter D1 are decreased by the polarized resistance R1.
