Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a ball-point pen with a stable quality by forming a ball- contacting recessed part on the pressing surface of a pressing pin in the forma tion of a ball-supporting part on the bottom wall of a ball-holding part by pressing the ball-projecting tip of a ball-point pen with the pressing pin.
CONSTITUTION: In the preparation of a ball-point pen tip 1, a metal ball- projecting tip of the ball-point pen tip, which holds a ball 2, is pressed with a pressing pin. A spherical ball-supporting part 6 is formed on the bottom wall 5 of a ball-holding part 4 by deformation by pressing. A ball-contacting recessed part 7 is formed on the pressing surface of a pressing pin 3. In this way, the ball 2 is prevented from deformation and breakage due to the pressure of the pressing pin 3, thereby improving the durability of the pressing pin 3. The dispersion in the dimensional precision of the ball point pen tip 1 is minimized to afford the stable quality of the product.
