Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a prediction error by performing irradiation with lasers before a start line with a prescribed interval, measuring the laser beam reception time of respective boats and predicting the presence/absence of a premature start by using the calculated speed and acceleration of the boat.
SOLUTION: The irradiation with the lasers from the plural lasers 9, 10 and 11 is performed before the start lines 2, a beam reception part 6 receives the beams when the boat 13 passes through the respective lasers and the passing time is measured. The speed in a direction vertical to the start line 2 is calculated from the passing time of the two adjacent lasers and the acceleration in the same direction is calculated by the speed change further. By the calculated results, how the boat 13 is to move a remaining distance to the start line 2 is predicted and the time when the boat 13 arrives at the start line 2 is calculated. Thus, regardless of the advancing direction of the boat 13, prediction precision is substantially improved compared to the case of assuming that the boat 13 moves at an equal speed.
