PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prepaid system capable of enhancing user-friendliness.SOLUTION: A management unit 100 is a prepaid system constituted of: a measurement device 200; and a portable terminal 300. When a payment reception part 110 receives a payment from a user (step S110), a control unit 140 notifies a user of a payment amount using a user address stored in a usage record storage part 130 (step S120). The control unit 140 calculates a usable utility amount depending on the payment amount (step S130), and transmits the calculation value to the measurement device 200 as an available remaining amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
