Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce a manufacturing cost of a magnetic card by magnetically recording a balance after a price is paid, and visibly displaying an amount as a standard of the balance on a deformed part of a surface of the card. CONSTITUTION: A printing ink layer 13 is provided together with a pictorial character for an advertisement on a thermoplastic sheet 12 having a thickness of 0.1 to 0.25 mm of the magnetic card 11 for a telephone set, and a numeric character row 14 for displaying a standard amount is provided on it. The telephone set using the card 11 has a punch 15B wound with a heater 15A and a die 15C, and, after a speech is finished, a protrusion 16 having a height of 0.5 to 1 mm is formed at a suitable position of the row 14 of the card 11. A balance of the card 11 as a standard can be known by the protrusion 16. The punch 15B and the die 15C for forming the protrusion 16 are hardly worn. And, since no punching chip is generated, maintenance of the telephone set is simple.
