Abstract:

To provide a method for processing prepaid telephone airtime account, according to the answering message.

A service control unit transmits (301) a recharge request message or advice for charging to a mobile client resident in a wireless communications device. The message is first received by a wireless telephony application server, that then forwards (302) the message to a wireless access protocol gateway. The wireless access protocol gateway then sends (303) the request to the mobile client. The user of the mobile client responds (304 or 310) with an affirmative or a negative answer to the request for recharging the prepaid telephone airtime account. The service control unit then either recharges (306) the account exactly as has been instructed or makes the account expire (312), depending on the response from the user.
