PURPOSE: To make wiping useless and to manufacture the steel sheet with a high productivity, by welding the plating metal foil on the surface of carried strip steel sheet continuously and carrying out plating.
CONSTITUTION: Strip steel sheet 1 cleaning the surface preliminary, is continuously carried in the plating room 3 kept at nonoxidizing atmosphere by N2 and H2. The zinc foil 5 having the same thickness to aimed plating layer, is drawn out from the roll 4 and is carried to the room 3 at the same speed of the sheet 1 by the sending roll 6, 6'. The foil 6 is pressed on the lower face of the sheet 1 by the ultrasonic tip 8 and the ultrasonic vibration is applied. Then, the foil 5 is heated by the heater 9 surrounding the tip 8 and is melted and then, is welded on the surface of the sheet 1. Aimed uniform thickness plating having no pin hole, is carried out because involved bubble is completely removed by the ultrasonic vibration at molten state. The foil 5 is carried at the later speed than that of the sheet 1, at the time of using the thick foil 5 and aimed plating thickness is obtained.
