Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce an aminotriazine derivative in a high yield and high purity by the solvolysis of 4-acylamino-3-oxo-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1,2,4-triazine derivative in the presence of gaseous hydrogen chloride in an alcoholic medium.
CONSTITUTION: The compound of the formula I (R1 is H, alkyl, cycloalkyl phenyl or the like; R2 is H, alkyl, cycloalkyl or phenyl, R1 and R2 form 3-7- membered carbocyclic rings; R3 is H or alkyl; R4 is H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, phenyl or piridyl) is solvolized using hydrogen chloride in the alcoholic medium to produce 4-amino-3-oxo-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1,2,4-triazine derivative. The compound of the formula IV is produced by reacting the compound of the formula II with an aldehyde of the formula III, and if desired, converting them by a selective reducing to pyridiyl-methylamino-triazine. The compound of formula II is useful as an intermediate in the manufacture of an agricultural agent, especially an insecticide.
