Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prepare title copolymer, insoluble in solvents such as water, by the hydrolysis of the copolymer of an α,β,β-trifluoroacrylate and an α-olefin, followed by the irradiation of ionizing radiation.

CONSTITUTION: A cross-linked fluorine-containing copolymer having ion exchange groups on its side chains, is obtained by the irradiation of ionizing radiation of ≤ 120Mrad, at -78W150°C in the atomsphore of an inert gas such as nitrogen, helium, or argon, on a copolymer with carboxyl groups, resulting from the hydrolysis of a copolymer of an α,β,β-trifluorocrystal of formula I (n is at least one) and an α- olefin of formula II (l, m are each 0W11).
