Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a process for the preparation of cyclohexyl hydroperoxide, in a cyclohexane oxidation without a catalyst, which initiates the oxidation reaction, makes it easy to maintain the progress of the reaction and forms the by-products in a small amount.
CONSTITUTION: The preparation of cyclohexyl hydroperoxide by converting cyclohexane into a mixture containing substantially of from 0.5 to 8 weight % of cyclohexyl hydroperoxide and from 0.1 to 4% by weight of cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone in cyclohexane, at a temperature between 130 to 200°C and a pressure between 4 to 50 bar for 0.05 to 14 hours in the absence of catalysts with using an oxygen-containing gas, comprises presenting from 0.1 to 3% by weight of oxidation products with linear or cyclic alkyl chains with 1 to 6 carbon atoms in the cyclohexane at the start of the oxidation reaction.
