Abstract:

PURPOSE: To ensure obtaining electric conductivity in such applications as floor materials where the surface is easily flawed, by packing a polymer material in the opening space between the meshy solid gratings of a loose thick fabric which consists of electric conductive fibers and molding it.

CONSTITUTION: A powder or liquid polymer material or its precuser is packed into the opening space in the meshy solid gratings of a loos thick nonwoven fabric prepared by using at least partly electric conductive fibers such as copper- absorbed fibers and then molded. As the nonwoven fabric forms three dimensional conductive meshy solid gratings, the electric conductive fibers remain continuous in the structural molding even if its surface has been damaged by friction, scratching, cutting, washing and so on and the electric conductivity of the molding is therefore not lost and the excellent anti-static characteristics is kept.
