PURPOSE: To sharply shorten working hours, by carrying a Braun tube bulb into a working device only by horizontally moving the bulb.
CONSTITUTION: When a Braun tube 2 is carried along a horizontal plane by means of a bulb transporter 10 and reaches to a central portion of a pair of guides 11 divided into two portions, the Braun tube is stopped at a fixed location by means of a stopper, and a reinforcing plate 3 is supplied to a reinforcing plate positioning pin 12 portion by means of a reinforcing plate feeder 20. When the guides 11 shift and are closed, the reinforcing plate 3 is fixed to the bulb 2, and a band steel 5 is wound on an outer circumference of the reinforcing plate 3 by means of an automatic uniting head 13 and firmly fastened. After a series of work is completed, the guides 11 are opened, and the Braun tube bulb is automatically moved to the next process.
