To improve a production method of a high-purity fluoroperoxide produced by reaction of a carbonyl fluoride with hypofluorite.
The improvement of the production method simplifies steps for synthesis and recovery of the high-purity fluoroperoxide product. The improvement method comprises (a) a step for reacting a carbonyl fluoride with a hypofluorite under conditions producing a gaseous reaction product fundamentally not containing unreacted hypofluorite and containing the fluoroperoxide and unreacted carbonyl fluoride, (b) a step for producing a gaseous product containing the fluoroperoxide by removing the unreacted carbonyl fluoride from the gaseous reaction product under vapor phase conditions and (c) a step for collecting the fluoroperoxide derived from the step (b) in a vapor phase.
