PURPOSE: To prepare a baking-type high-viscosity paint giving a coating film having high film strength and excellent chipping resistance, by mixing and dispersing various components of the high-viscosity paint homogeneously, and defoaming the dispersion under redueced pressure.
CONSTITUTION: Various components of a paint, i.e. a resin (containing hardener), a pigment composition composed of a loading pigment and a color pigment, a solvent, and if necessary, a defoaming agent, etc., are compounded, stirred and mixed together in a mixer such as disper, etc., and dispersed sufficiently homogeneously with a dispersing apparatus such as ball mill, etc. The dispersion is defoamed under reduced pressure (usually 20W76cmHg below atmospheric pressure) to obtain the objective paint having a working viscosity of ≥1,500cps.
USE: Useful for the coating of vehicles, chemical plants and building materials, especially suitable for the intercoating of automobiles.
