PURPOSE: To obtain the titled carrier free from air bubbles and having stable quality in a reduced energy consumption amount by a method wherein a thermoplastic resin is coated on the surface of a base material and air pressure is applied thereto from the opposite side thereof to curve said material and, in this condition, a stamper is closely contacted therewith to carry out hot press molding.

CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic resin is coated on a base material 1a to form a molding layer 1b and fixed to the upper surface of the lower mold 3 of a press machine by a clamping ring 2. The operation of an oil press 5 raising the lower mold 3 is started and, at the same time, air pressure is applied from an air nozzle 4 to curve the elemental material 1 and, in this condition, a stamper 8 is gradually contacted therewith. After the stamper 8 and the elemental material 1 are contacted over all surfaces thereof, pressure is applied to set pressure by oil press 5 and the stamper 8 is heated by steam by utilizing a passage 7 to mold only the molding layer 1b.
