Title:
PREPARATION OF INORGANIC BUILDING PLATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2713518
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a building plate having characteristics being equal to or higher than those of a plasterboard, being lightweight and exhibiting little decrease in strength caused by water absorption by a method wherein an upper layer and a lower layer contg. an inorg. fiber, an inorg. powder and a binder and an intermediate layer contg. an inorg. fiber, inorg. powder and a binder are made by a paper making process and are integrated in a body by compression and then, it is dried by heating.
CONSTITUTION: A slurry for making an upper layer and a lower layer contains an inorg. fiber such as rock wool, an inorg. powder such as calcium carbonate and a binder consisting of a mixture of a powder phenol resin and starch and a slurry for an intermediate layer contains an inorg. fiber, a binder and an inorg. foam such as perlite. If necessary, a pulp, a sizing agent, an adhesion promotor, a flocculating agent etc., are incorporated in these slurries. The slurry for the upper layer and the lower layer is introduced on a long net type paper making machines 1 and 5 to obtain wet inorg. plates 2 and 6 and the slurry for the intermediate slurry is introduced e.g. on a round net type paper making machine 3 to obtain a wet inorg. plate 4. These are laminated and is pressed by means of a continuous belt press 8 to integrate them in a body, which is then cut and dried by heating in a drier 10.
