Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce L-threonine by culturing bacteria belonging to Brevibacterium gemis.
CONSTITUTION: Bacteria belonging to Brevibacterium genus, sensitive to α-amino- β-hydroxyvaleric acid, L-leucine, or L-leucine-analogue, and capable of producing L-threonine, e.g. Brevibacterium lactofermentum AJ11195 (FERM-P No.4353), are inoculated and cultured in a medium, and produced L-threonine is separated therefrom.
