PREPARATION OF MEDICINE CONTAINING C1 INACTIVATOR

PURPOSE: To prepare a medicine containing a complement system C1 esterase inactivator (C1 inactivator) safe against hepatitis in good reproductivity in a good yield and in high purity by a method giving a therapeutically acceptable product. CONSTITUTION: This method for preparing a medicine containing a C1 inactivator safe against hepatitis comprises heating a solution containing the C1 inactivator in the presence of a stabilizer, preferably an amino acid, a sugar and/or a sugar alcohol, until the infecting property of the solution in the presence of B-type hepatitis viruses is lost (e.g. for 1min to 48hr at a temperature of 30-100 deg.C, preferably for 10hr at a temperature of 60 deg.C). The solution of the C1 inactivator is preferably purified. If necessary, the solution of the C1 inactivator not causing the hepatitis is mixed with a stabilizer, preferably a sugar, especially sucrose, and subsequently vacuum-lyophilized to prepare the medicine. The C1 inactivator is a medicine selected on genetic vascular dropsy.
