Abstract:
To provide a microbial oil more stable than conventional polyunsaturated fatty acid-containing oils isolated from microbial biomass.
There is provided a method for obtaining an oil containing at least one polyunsaturated fatty acid from microbial biomass, which method comprises following (a)-(d). (a) A biomass having 25-80% dry matter content is supplied, (b) the biomass is granulated to be granules, (c) the granules are dried to be dried granules, and then, (d) the oil is extracted or isolated from the dried granules.
