Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prepare a mortar test piece for estimating strength of concrete after setting thereof.
CONSTITUTION: Sample mortar obtained by sieving concrete, strength of which after setting is to be determined, is packed into a mold and steamed, while being compressed, at 100°C or above for a predetermined time in an enclosed pressure oven. Pressure in the oven is subsequently lowered to atmospheric pressure level and the mold is taken out from the oven and released to produce a test piece.
