Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for preparing olefin polymers having a tensile strength sufficient for practical purposes even in a green state, satisfactory in flexibility and low temperature properties, low in surface tackiness and, in addition, at a low production cost.
SOLUTION: In a process for preparing olefin polymers by a solvent-free polymerization method is used a catalyst system comprising (A) a solid component comprising (a) a crystalline polyolefin obtained by prepolymerization and (b) a solid catalyst component comprising magnesium, (tetravalent) titanium, a halogen atom, and an electron donor; (B) an organoaluminum compound; (C) an alkoxy group-containing aromatic compound represented by the formula {wherein R1 is 1-20C alkyl; R2 is a 1-10C hydrocarbon group; m is an integer of 1-6; n is an integer of 0-(6-m) [provided that n is not an integer of (6-m)]}; and (D) an electron-donating compound.
