PURPOSE: To obtain the title product with enough flexibility and excellent elasticity without using a physical foaming agent by reacting a polyisocyanate, a polyether mixture with a specified compsn., water and a catalyst under a specified condition.
CONSTITUTION: A polyisocyanate (A) (pref. 2,4-toluylene-diisocyanate, etc.), a polyether mixture (B) consisting of 0.5-20% polyether (i) having a mol.wt. of 400-10,000, contg. a plurality of hydroxyls and having at least 50 (wt.)% oxyethylene content based on the total amt. of alkylene oxide and 99.5-80% polyether (ii) prepd. by adding an alkylene oxide to glycerol and optionally ethylene oxide and having a mol.wt. of 400-10,000 and at most 20% oxyethylene content based on the total amt. of alkylene oxide, water (C) and a catalyst (D) [e.g. tin(II)-octoate] are reacted at an isocyanate index of 95-100.
