Abstract:
A casting powder for steel castings of the type consisting of at least one casting-powder constituent and preferably a fluxing agent, and having the form of closed spherical hollow bodies, is improved by starting with a very finely divided mixture of the components, making the mixture into a slurry, mixing with an inflating agent, expanding the slurry mix, and calcining the hollow bodies after expansion.
