Abstract:
To provide a process for preparing a substituted aminoanthraquinone from which such uses as a dye for plastics and synthetic fibers, and further a precursor for preparing a dye for wool, are obtained.
The process for preparing the substituted aminoanthraquinone is carried out by reacting 1,4-dihydroxy anthraquinone with an amine in the presence of dihydro-1,4-dihydroxy anthraquinone and a borate ester. The structure of a material in Figure, exemplifies the resultant aminoanthraquinone compound.
