Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a preparation for sustained release of medicine using antigenicity-free natural collagen fibrous membrane as a carrier of a medicine.
CONSTITUTION: A collagen subjected to pepsin-limited digesting treatment is purified, dialyzed against a buffer solution of phosphoric acid containing salt at a low temperature of about 4°C and further dialyzed at 37°C or dialyzed against a solution of Na2PO4 at a low temperature of about 4°C to reconstitute a collagen as a natural thick fiber, a collagen fibrous membrane is prepared from the reconstituted collagen fiber and a substance carrying a medicine is added to the fibrous membrane to give a preparation for sustained release of medicine.
