Abstract:
To provide a new microorganism oil including polyunsaturated fatty acid and a method for recovering the same.
The method, which recovers (1) microorganism oil containing polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) which has a high triglyceride content and high oxidation stability and (2) the microorganism oil from biomass induced from low-temperature fermentation broth, includes: the process of giving the biomass an extrusion treatment to form granule-like particles; the process of drying the particles; and, after that, the process of extracting the microorganism oil with suitable solvent.
