Abstract:
To provide a new microorganism oil including polyunsaturated fatty acid and a method for recovering the same.
The method, which recovers (1) microorganism oil including polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) which has a high triglyceride content and high oxidation stability and (2) the microorganism oil from microorganism biomass induced from low-temperature fermentation broth, includes: a process of subjecting the biomass to an extrusion treatment to form granule-like particles; a process of drying the particles; and, after that, a process of extracting the microorganism oil from the dried particles with a suitable solvent.
