PURPOSE: To allow the intuitional checking of the position of two-dimensional space by allowing each one piece of diode arrays in a vertical direction and horizontal direction to emit light in accordance with the output of position information and determining the position on a map from the light emitting positions thereof.

CONSTITUTION: A display means 3 triggers each one piece of the vertical direction light emitting diode array 51 disposed along the vertical direction of a frame body 50 of the present position display device 5 and the horizontal direction light emitting diode array 52 disposed along the horizontal direction of the body 50 to express the latitude and longitude of the map surface of a map book 4 and specifies the two-dimensional space by a transparent member 53 covering the map book 4 upon obtaining of the position information of a position detecting means consisting of an antenna 1, a GPS receiver 2, etc. A scale 53a parallel with the side of the frame body 50 is preferably formed on the member 53 in the state of disposing the same on the frame body 50. The arrays 51, 52 are preferably formed to be visible from above the surface of the member 53.
