PURPOSE: To reduce number of switches and to simplify the operation by forming a channel selection means with a channel scan means, a detection circuit detecting a signal received by channel scanning and a means stopping the channel scanning when the detection circuit detects the signal.
CONSTITUTION: After a channel matching switch 5 is depressed to set the entire device in the channel matching mode, a memory position up-switch 6 and a memory position down-switch 7 are operated to decide the memory position. Then a microprocessor 1 scans a received channel and the display content of a channel display device 3 is sequentially changed. In this case, when a broadcast of a displayed channel is received, its synchronizing signal is detected by a detector 11 and fetched by the microprocessor 1 and the channel scanning is tentatively stopped. When a memory switch 8 is depressed at that time, the received channel data is stored in the decided channel position.
