Abstract:

To provide a press for clothes which prevents the propagation of germs, kills the germs and prevents stains, spots or the like from generation to improve the sanitary aspect, exterior appearance or the like.

There are provided a fixed plate 11 having one side surface as press surfaces 17, 18 and a movable plate 13 having the press surface opposed to the press surface of the fixed plate 11 and provided on the fixed plate to open and close the same. In a clothes press provided on at least one of the fixed plate and movable plate with a heater, an antibacterial material is blended with or coats at least one of the respective press surfaces. Or when press sheets 14, 15 are provided between the fixed plate 11 and movable plate 13, the antibacterial material is blended with or coats these press sheets 14, 15.
