To favorably finish pressing of clothes while saving electric power consumption by effectively making use of the time when one does not put on clothes, by providing a timer device conducting currents to a heater circuit for a certain time after a specified time interval after the timer has started.
Clothes are put between a movable plate and a fixed plate and the first switch 24 is put on if there is room in the time until one puts on the clothes again. Then the timer device 26 which is set at a time A in advance by a time setter 29, starts to drive. When it reaches the preset time A, a counter is reset and the timer device 26 is set at a time B in order to heat the clothes for a certain time interval. A relay contact 31 is put on through a relay drive means 30 and then, currents start to flow to a heater 23 to heat a heating face up to a temperature preset by a thermostat 32. The whole processes are finished at the time B to put off the relay contact 31.
