Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase yield and to keep high filtration efficiency for a long period by folding the hollow-fiber membrane of a hollow-fiber membrane module having an annular membrane to house one end of a filter membrane and a fixing member to be fixed in the annular membrane in the form of a zigzag and fixing the folded membrane.
CONSTITUTION: An annular member 1 functions as a member to support the entire hollow-fiber membrane module, a fixing member 2 consisting of epoxy resin is used to fix one side of a filter membrane 3 consisting of a hollow-fiber membrane braid in the annular member 1 and to liquid-tightly separate water to be treated and treated water. One end of the warp or weft consisting of a hollow-fiber membrane 4 of the braid is bent back and fixed in the annular member 1, and further the braid is folded up in the form of a zigzag and fixed. By this method, since the unfixed other end is opened or closed in the form of bellows, the membranes are hardly stuck to one another by the deposit on the membrane 4, and the filter membrane 3 is easily cleaned and regenerated.
