The press machine 30 opens a hole 40 in a metal plate while relatively moving the metal plate 31 and a punch 36 at a predetermined pitch, and comprises a die 32 on which the metal plate is placed, the punch provided downwardly with a base end 36a being fixed to a base 33, and a pressing panel 35 which has a penetrating guide hole 42 for passing the punch and is connected to the base via an elastic material 34. A recess 50 for storing a hole and its edge is formed at the position corresponding to a hole opened by the punch in a lower side 49 of the pressing panel to prevent a raised part 52 raised at a peripheral edge of the opened hole and the pressing panel lowered toward the metal plate from being abutted on each other.
