Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a gap from being formed between the joint portions of the connection sides of iron plates, thereby preventing sleeves from being damaged; and to make the turning trajectories of inner and outer iron plates the same, thereby enabling the sleeves to be uniformly and beautifully press-finished.SOLUTION: A press mechanism for a shirt sleeve finishing machine includes: a pair of left and right press irons 3 which press-finish sleeves 2 put on a pair of left and right sleeve stands 1; and a link device 6 which, in order that inner and outer iron plates 3a and 3b forming each of the press irons 3 may be each turned around a longitudinal shaft 4 provided in each of the iron plates 3a and 3b as a center and may be opened and closed, transmits the power of a driving source 5 to each of the iron plates 3a and 3b. The link device 6 is formed of: a first link mechanism 6a which opens and closes the outer iron plate 3b of one of the press irons 3 and the inner iron plate 3a of the other of the press irons 3 together; and a second link mechanism 6b which opens and closes the outer iron plate 3b of the other of the press irons 3 and the inner iron plate 3a of the one of the press irons 3 together. Each longitudinal shaft 4 is arranged on the same horizontal line H when the iron plates 3a and 3b are viewed from above.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
