Title:
PRESS MOLDING METHOD OF LIQUID CRYSTAL RESIN COMPOSITE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3249849
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a product of excellent quality, improve manufacturing process, and reduce the cost by extruding a material into a sheet and drawing it further with a film die at above the lowest moldable temperature of matrix resin and above liquid crystal transition temperature of liquid crystal resin.
CONSTITUTION: A composition containing liquid crystal resin having liquid crystal transition temperature higher than the lowest moldable temperature of a matrix resin is extruded into a sheet at apparent shear rate i.e., 3×102-105sec-1 from a nozzle by making the liquid crystal resin fibrous in the matrix resin. Then, a band sheet material 1 is generated The sheet material 1 is laminated. The laminated sheet material is heated to a temperature higher than the lowest moldable temperature and below the liquid crystal transition temperature by a heating device 6. Laminated sheet materials are adhered with pressure by the heating and press molding is performed by a press molding device 7.
