To a press working method excellent in shape freezing property by which the structure of a working tool is simplified and parts having highly accurate hat-shaped cross section is obtained.
Drawing is performed while applying bending and unbending to both end parts in the width direction of the metallic sheet 4 by a first shoulder part 5 of a die and, in the process of the drawing or after the completion of the drawing, the forming of the wall part of the metallic sheet is started by the second shoulder part 6 of the die. Next, the die edge part of the metallic sheet is formed by the second shoulder part of the die and also the metallic sheet is clamped with beads provided on the opposite surface 9 of the flange of a punch 1 and the opposite surface 8 of the flange of a die 2.
