Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent scraps from dropping into a metallic die, and to prevent generation of a hit mark or a flaw on a product, by performing in advance drilling at a position of both end parts of a notch provided on a plate to be worked, and providing a notch so that its hole is positioned in both ends of the notch, when press-working a blank to a desired shape.

CONSTITUTION: A hole 15 is made in advance in a part corresponding to both ends of a notch 12 provided on a plate to be worked 11 (stage a'). Subsequently, notching and drawing are executed through each stage of notching (a), idle (b), drawing (c) and idle (d) so that said hole 15 is positioned in both ends of the notch 12. According to this method, it does not occur that scraps of the notch part drops into a metallic die in the course of forward feed of the plate 11 to be worked, generation of a hit mark or a flaw on a product is prevented, and also press-working can be executed by preventing damage of the metallic die.
