Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressing member which can easily prevent air bubbles from being included between a band part and an adhesive, and between strip parts and the adhesive in bookbinding processing in which a paper bundle is bound by attaching a ring binding member having the band part and a plurality of the strip parts extending from a long side of the band part in a predetermined direction.SOLUTION: Strip parts Rb2 of a ring binding member which includes a band part Rb1 and a plurality of the strip parts Rb2 extending from a long side of the band part Rb1 in a predetermined direction are inserted in holes H of a paper bundle P and are bent in a ring shape. Then, a pressing member 25 presses the band part Rb1 or the strip parts Rb2 in adhering end parts of the strip parts Rb2 to the band part Rb1 with an adhesive Rb3. The pressing member is formed of elastic material, and has a protrusion shape of which a tip end part is crushed and a contact area with the band part Rb1 or the strip parts Rb2 increases as it is pressed to the band part Rb1 or the strip parts Rb2.
