A pressure booster is constituted such that a gas accumulating chamber 4 communicated with a gas chamber 2 comprises a cylinder 10, partitioned into a gas chamber 2 and a liquid chamber 3 by a slidable built-in piston 11, and a housing 20. The piston 11 is operated by the pressure, serving as a power source, of compressed gas pressed in the gas chamber 2 and the gas accumulating chamber 4, and liquid in the liquid chamber 3 is fed to an actuator for valve drive through a piping connected to the liquid chamber 3 and the actuator for valve drive, and the actuator for valve drive is operated. In this case, a stopper body 31 to regulate the decrease of capacity of the gas chamber 2 due to a surplus return of the piston 11 is arranged in the gas chamber 2. Further, a spring 32 is arranged at the stopper body 31, and regulation of capacity of the liquid chamber 3 according to the increase and the decrease of a liquid pressure in the liquid chamber 3.
