Title:
PRESSURE CONTACT TERMINAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3443347
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly nip a core wire between pressure contact blades to prevent the dropping-out of a wire by providing a pair of mutually opposed sidewalls connected by a bottom surfaces in the longitudinal of the wire, protruding pressure contact blades mutually opposed orthogonally to the side walls, and an inclined guide bent down from the end surface opposite to the bottom surface toward the bottom surface to guide the wire to the vicinity of the pressure contact blades.
SOLUTION: A pressure contact terminal 10 has a pair of mutually opposed sidewalls 12 connected by a bottom surface 11 parallel to the longitudinal direction X of a wire 2, and two sets of mutually opposed pressure contact blades 14 are provided on the inside protrusively from both ends of the opening 13 of the side walls 12 to direction Y. The ends opposite to the bottom surface 11 of the sidewalls 12 are bent toward the bottom surface 11 symmetrically relative to the center to form inclined guides 15, which guides the wire 2 pressed by a jig 3 to the vicinity of the pressure contact blades 14. The pressure contact blades 14 break the insulating coating of the further pressed wire 2 and makes contact with the core wire of the wire 2. According to this, the possibility of the off-centered pressure connection of the wire 2 or the breakage of the core wire can be eliminated.
