To provide a pressure foot for a sewing machine which enables a user to simply and easily carry out the work to exchange one pressure foot to the other suitable for a specific sewing.

The pressure foot 4 is separated from a pressure bar 3 by releasing the fixation by a screw member and thereafter, one is selected from plural kinds of the pressure feet 4, is superposed on the bottom end side of the pressure bar 3 and is fixed by the screw member and, therefore, there is no need for separating a fixture 2 and the presser bar 3 from a pressure bar of the sewing machine and the user is able to simply and easily carry out the work to exchange the pressure foot with the pressure foot 4 suitable for the sewing way. The pressure foot 4 is forced to press cloth by the presser bar 3 itself and the elasticity of a spring part and the cloth is guided in a cloth feed direction by a cloth guide mounted at the front end of the pressure foot.
