PURPOSE: To enable joining of a large area by using roll pressurizing as a means to pressurize a member to be joined and thereby eliminating influence from the waviness of a joining surface.
CONSTITUTION: In a joining method in which, after a contaminated layer is removed from the surfaces to be joined, a member to be joined is pressurized by a pressurizing means, and the surfaces to be joined are adhered closely with each other and joined. Pressurizing by means of a roll 11 is employed as a means to pressurize the members 14a, 14b to be joined and an insert material 15. Then, while a roll 11 is rotated on the members 14a, 14b and the insert material 15, the roll is relatively moved with them by using a stage 12, and both surfaces to be joined are thereby adhered closely with each other and joined.
