Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save labor involved in a water leakage examination of piping and also to always maintain a water flow state during the examination.
SOLUTION: A pressure reducing mechanism unit 3 provided with a pressure reducing mechanism is attached to a valve box 2 in a freely turnable way, and a pressure reducing function is made to be effective or ineffective by communicating or disconnecting a secondary side pressure chamber 7 in the box 2 to/from a pressure regulation chamber 18 in the unit 3 for communicating with the chamber 7 and holding secondary side pressure at certain fixed pressure that is lower than primary side pressure according to the turning position of the unit 3 with respect to the box 2. In the ineffective state of the pressure reducing function, projecting pieces 40 and 40a projecting outwardly in one diameter direction of the rear part of a valve element 35 are arranged face to face with valve closing blocking pieces 41 and 41a arranged only at the front of a movement path in the direction of closing the valve, and the valve element 35 is not closed even though pressure inside the box 2 goes up.
