Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary a compression ratio following the pressure fluctuation of refrigerant gas in a system and to suppress the occurrence of a transient pressure fluctuation by a method wherein a guide part communicated with a compression space is arranged at the central part of a fixed scroll and a spool member is slidably arranged at the guide part.
SOLUTION: A long with revolution of a moving scroll 2, the volume of a compression space 3 is gradually decreased and refrigerant gas is compressed to a high pressure. The compressed gas reaches a reservoir 26 through a discharge port 23 formed in the central part of a spool 19 and is discharged through the outlet pipe 28 at the upper part of a case 4. In this case, when a compression pressure is sufficiently high, the spool 19 is displaced upward against the force of a spring 20 by the pressure of refrigerant gas worked on the under surface of the spool 19 and a seal surface 22 is separated away from the seat part 17 of a fixed scroll 1, and refrigerant gas flows through a side passage between the spool 19 and the fixed scroll 1. This constitution causes a flow of refrigerant gas through a side passage togetherwith a discharge port 23 and is prevented from being brought into excessive compression.
