PURPOSE: To prepare a pressure sensitive adhesive tape which exhibits good bonding properties over a long period under conditions of rapidly changing temperature and pressure, is calmly relaxed back, and has an aqueous release coating film in which an adhesive is prevented from transferring to the surface of the coating film.

CONSTITUTION: A pressure sensitive adhesive tape consists of a liner layer, at least one pressure sensitive adhesive layer and an aqueous release coating film layer, the adhesive layer is stuck to at least one surface of the liner layer, the release coating film layer is formed from the aqueous solution of a water-soluble or water-dispersive poly(alkylene oxide)-containing polymer. The aqueous solution can be used as a release coating film for the pressure sensitive adhesive.
