To provide a pressure-sensitive copiable thermal recording sheet which, when retouching (pressing) is conducted after thermal printing, can realize clear copying of the contents of the retouching to the underlying sheet and, in addition, has high sensitivity and image storage stability for both thermal printing and pressure-sensitive printing.
In this pressure-sensitive copiable thermal recording sheet, a specific intermediate layer and a heat-sensitive color developing layer are provided on a support. A microcapsule layer containing specific electron-accepting developer internal capsulated microcapsules and a water dispersible binder is provided on the whole surface or a part of the opposite side of the support. Preferably, the microcapsule layer contains electron-donating dye internal capsulated microcapsules and the electron-accepting developer internal capsulated microcapsules in combination. The heat-sensitive layer contains CVL. The heat-sensitive color developing layer contains an aromatic isocyanate compound and an imino compound having at least one >C=NH group. The concentration of the developer dissolved in the electron-accepting developer internal capsulated microcapsules is preferably in the range of 30 to 50% by mass.
